Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) has been added to ClinicalConnect for organizations that use Hamilton Health Sciences as their Identity (Account) Provider, adding an additional layer of security to protect patients' Personal Health Information. Please be advised that following Bluewater Health's migration to the Oracle Hospital Information System used by other hospitals in the Erie St. Clair region, ClinicalConnect is now live with this additional integration. Bluewater Health's data is now viewable in ClinicalConnect, with "ESC Region" as the "Source".

Please be advised that data from Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver Health & Rehabilitation Centre is once again fully available in ClinicalConnect's clinical modules, as follows:

1. Data from November 9, 2024 onwards is identified with "NH" as the "Source".

2. Data prior to November 8, 2024 is identified with "NHS" as the "Source".

3. Data from Walker’s Family Cancer Centre continues to be available, with “WFCC” as the “Source”.

Update on Addendums of Various Reports with HHSC = Source

Further to the April 17, 2024 posting below, Addendum information for Radiology reports, where "HHSC" is the "Source", is now displaying correctly in ClinicalConnect. Regarding addendums of Cardiology Reports where "HHSC" is the "Source", they too now display correctly in ClinicalConnect except for the following types of reports:

1. Cardiac Cath
2. Echocardiography
3. Electrophysiology
4. ECG
5. Exercise Stress
6. Holter

For these six types of tests, a technical issue still persists in some cases if the "Status" of the report is "Amended". To ensure you obtain the complete report, please contact the Health Records department at the Hamilton Health Sciences hospital site where the test/procedure was performed.

Addendums of Various Reports with HHSC = Source

Radiology and Cardiology reports as well as some Transcription reports where "HHSC" is the "Source" in ClinicalConnect are currently not displaying addendum information correctly. Work is underway to fix the technical issue, however in the meantime, if the "Status" of a report in one of these modules is "Amended", and there is no obvious indication of an addendum in the report details, please contact the Health Records department at the Hamilton Health Sciences hospital site where the test/procedure was performed to ensure you obtain the complete report.

Diagnostic images from hospitals in Ontario Health West Region cannot be viewed in ClinicalConnect when using Firefox (internet browser) version 44 or higher. Please use a different, supported internet browser.

Please note the following changes in relation to oncology records from Niagara Health:

• As of June 5, 2023, ClinicalConnect’s “Source” called “HNHB Regional Cancer Program” will no longer include any net new oncology data from Niagara Health. 

• Oncology data from visits to Niagara Health’s Walker Family Cancer Centre up to and including June 2, 2023 will remain viewable under the HNHB Regional Cancer Program “Source”. 

• Certain oncology records (progress notes and consult notes) for care provided to patients at Niagara Health’s Walker Family Cancer Centre from June 5, 2023 onwards will still be viewable in ClinicalConnect’s Transcription module (where the “Source” is Niagara Health System, and the “Facility” is St. Catharines Site). 

A project is underway to re-integrate the remaining oncology data from Niagara Health with ClinicalConnect.
